Munro & Turkovic Shine Again at Inaugural Humana APP Louisville Open
APP hosted world’s best pros, elite amateurs for first time in Louisville, KY alongside PickleY’All, inaugural Louisville Pickleball Festival crafted by Humana and the APP
The world's first and world's best pickleball tour made a huge splash in the Bluegrass State with five thrilling gold medal matches to round out an epic weekend at the inaugural Humana APP Louisville Open. While the Official Tour Of Pickleball was wowing crowds on the APP Tour’s iconic Championship Court, thousands of Louisville locals flocked to PickleY’all, the inaugural Louisville Pickleball Festival which took place over two days in downtown Louisville.

Inside the Kentucky International Convention Center, Jack Munro took home two doubles gold medals for the third time this season – one in mixed doubles with Roos Van Reek, and another men’s doubles title with Richard Livornese, Jr., marking the seventh-straight golds for the APP Tour’s top duo. Bobbi Oshiro and Kat Stewart brought home their first women’s doubles title as a duo, Ronan Camron picked up his second men’s singles gold of the year, and Domenika Turkovic was successful in women’s singles, while earning two silvers along the way.
The Kentucky International Convention Center set an epic stage for hundreds of players, ranging from the sport's elite pros, to the AARP Champions (50+) and AARP Masters (60+) Pro Divisions, to the collegiate showcase featuring the University of Kentucky to amateur players of all ages and skill levels from the Louisville area and beyond. The tournament was held in conjunction with PickleY’all, a community festival crafted by Humana and the APP celebrating all things pickleball, located just outside the convention center halls. The crown jewel of the festival was a free concert performed by Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy, plus a variety of pickleball-themed activities for guests of all ages. Learn more about PickleY’all here.
At the start of the Championship Sunday festivities, college pickleball took the stage as Kentucky’s club pickleball team showcased its skills for the crowd. The UK club team varsity and junior varsity squads competed in men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. The APP Selkirk Collegiate Series hosts the nation’s top club teams in competitions throughout the year, with more information available at TheAPP.global/Collegiate.
The world’s best pickleball pros then wowed the crowds with five gold medal matches. All gold medalists received customized Louisville Slugger baseball bats – a fitting gesture for the inaugural event.
Men's Pro Doubles
Richard Livornese, Jr. and Jack Munro have been simply unstoppable this season on the APP Tour, entering Louisville having won the last six men’s pro doubles titles. This time, they took the courts against No. 3-seeds Zack Marceau and Aidan Schenk. Game one was neck-and-neck throughout, with Marceau and Schenk serving multiple game points up 10-8 and 10-9, but Livornese, Jr. and Munro rallied to win 12-10. From there, the defending champs could do no wrong, cruising 11-2 to wrap up their seventh straight gold medals together.
“We had to get really creative," said Munro. "They were adjusting on the go consistently, so we had to go with the flow – and d it showed with how quickly we adjusted.”
“Something we’ve been talking about is ‘feelings aren’t facts’, added Livornese, Jr. “Sometimes we come into the day and maybe we feel a certain way. Maybe it’s nerves or low energy, but that’s not our story. We get to choose how we react to that, and I thought we did a good job of that today.”
Jay Devilliers and Tanner Tomassi earned the men’s doubles bronze medals.
Women's Pro Doubles
The women’s pro doubles final featured the South Florida duo of Bobbi Oshiro and Kat Stewart taking on the international duo of Glauka Carvajal Lane and Domenika Turkovic. Oshiro and Stewart took control of game one early and didn’t look back, winning 11-2. Lane and Turkovic led for the majority of game two, including an 8-6 lead, before Oshiro and Stewart battled back to win 11-9 and clinch their first APP Tour gold medals as a team.
“The name of the game was that we had a game plan going into every match," said Oshiro. "We adjusted if need be, but it was about being able to stay disciplined, executing shots, and sticking to the game plan from the first point to the last point. We followed that, and were able to take it home.”
“Bobbi’s an O.G.,” Stewart added. “She’s trusted me from the beginning of my pickleball career, so it’s really sweet to get a gold with her.”
Shelby Bates and Christine Maddox earned women’s doubles bronze.
Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg presented Oshiro and Stewart with the championship trophy as part of the post-match ceremonies.

Mixed Pro Doubles
Four different nations comprised the mixed pro doubles final as the Netherlands’ Roos Van Reek and Austin, Texas native Jack Munro faced Croatia’s Domenika Turkovic and France’s Jay Devilliers. Van Reek and Munro, who have teamed up for three golds at international events this year, showed great chemistry as they dominated game one 11-3. Turkovic and Devilliers made a run in game two, but Van Reek and Munro were too much to handle, winning 11-5 to clinch their first APP Tour U.S. gold medals as a team.
“We’ve been playing a lot of tournaments this year, and I’m super happy to play with Jack," Van Reek said following the win. "Our communication is very good, and we’re always proud to play with each other."
Kat Stewart and Richard Livornese, Jr. earned the mixed doubles bronze.
Men's Pro Singles
In a battle of the top two seeds, the men's pro singles did not disappoint as Ronan Camron battled Dusty Boyer. Camron edged out the win in a tightly contested game one, 11-9, before Boyer responded with a comfortable 11-5 win in game two. With game three tied at eight, Camron rallied off the final three points to win 11-8 and clinch the gold.
“The difference maker was keeping my head down and hitting good returns," said Camron. "I knew if I could get a good return in, I’ll have great looks. It was a slow-dragging final, and we were both trying our hardest.”
Eduardo Irizarry earned men's singles bronze for his first APP Tour medal since April 2025.
Women's Pro Singles
An epic women’s pro singles final pitted top-seeded Kat Stewart against defending champion Domenika Turkovic. The two traded leads throughout game one, but Stewart pulled away, 11-9. Turkovic came out firing out of the break, taking game two 11-4. Up 10-4 in game three, Turkovic staved off a late Stewart comeback and won, 11-7, to clinch back-to-back women’s singles golds.
“I’m really proud of my progress, both on and off the court," Turkovic said. "Kat has actually helped me so much, because I feel like we work smarter and not necessarily harder, and that has changed my game completely. So, big thanks to her.”
Bobbi Oshiro earned women's singles bronze.
