Each division begins with pool play and concludes with a seeded, single-elimination championship bracket. All teams and players advance from pool play to the championship bracket.
Players or teams compete in a round robin within their pool. Pool-play matches are one game to 11, win by two, using side-out scoring. Pools are balanced using DUPR ratings when available.
The championship bracket is single elimination. Most bracket matches are one game to 15, win by two, using side-out scoring. Gold- and bronze-medal matches are best two out of three games to 11, win by two.
After pool play, all players or teams are ranked across the division using the following criteria, in order:
- Match winning percentage
- Point differential
- Points-won Percentage (total points scored / total points played)
- Head-to-head result, when applicable
- Strength of schedule, based on average opponent DUPR
- Random draw, if a tie remains
The official competition ball is the Franklin X-40.
Yes. All paddles must be on the USAP-approved paddle list.
The host Pickleball Kingdom location will communicate check-in details, the draw and first court assignments directly to registered players before the event.

Yes. The guaranteed prize pool for each event is $15,000 and distributed as follows:
*Doubles amounts are awarded by team
The APP pays eligible players directly via Payment Labs, the APP’s secure payment platform, after final results are confirmed. If you are eligible for prize money, you will receive information and instructions on the payment process while on-site at the tournament.
Players do not receive prize payments from the local host facility.
Final results are submitted to APP within two calendar days after the event for ranking-point processing. Posting times may vary while results are reviewed and confirmed.
Following the final posted Moneyball Series rankings in June 2027, the top three ranked finishers per event (WS, MS, WD, MD, MXD) will earn APP Tour contracts based on their final ranking position.
Contracts will be non-exclusive, allowing recipients the freedom to compete in other professional events while pursuing their professional pickleball careers. Contracted players will be required to compete in a specified number of APP Tour stops in the United States and/or internationally.
The player receives a contract that offers the benefits of their highest ranking.
