Max Green came away with the first APP Tour gold medal of his career in his first Championship Sunday appearance. He defeated Ronan Camron in an exciting three-game thriller to win the men's pro singles title at the 2026 AARP Open.

Casey Diamond & Lee Whitwell both earned two golds in seattle. Diamond in men's pro doubles with Aidan Schenk and mixed pro doubles with Vivian glozman, and whitwell in the AARP Champions division in women's singles and in women's doubles with Carolina Lopez Ascarate.

Bobbi Oshiro had three reasons to cheer in Seattle as she came away with three medals - one in each event - the most of any pro at the 2026 AARP Open. Oshiro captured a silver in women's pro singles, a bronze in women's pro doubles with Shelby Bates and another bronze in mixed pro doubles with Randy Blanco.

Number 2-ranked Kat Stewart held number 3-ranked Bobbi Oshiro to only six points in two games en route to her Championship Sunday victory to secure the women's pro singles title. Not a bad way to start of 2026 for Stewart!

It took a whopping eight games for Megan Fudge and Sofia Sewing - in their first APP Tour event as a duo - to earn their first golds of 2026. They played four matches total, none of which required three games. Onward!

The number of indoor courts at side out tsunami pickleball center, the site of the 2026 AARP Open. the courts were packed with competition throughout the tournament and we loved to see it!

The Seattle Great Wheel, the 175-foot tall ferris wheel on Pier 57, features 42 enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas from which passengers can enjoy views of Puget Sound, downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier. It's a short walk from the Pike Place Market, and plenty of restaurant options.

Washingtonians showed up in full force for the 2026 AARP Open! There were 163 confirmed Washingtonians that played in the first APP Tour event of the year, including Max (Purple Jesus) Manthou, Thomas Yu, and Aidan Schenk, all pictured above. Should be no surprise considering Bainbridge Island, the birthplace of pickleball, is just 10 miles away!

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens played 219 regular season NFL games in his career. He ranks third in NFL career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, but now spends a lot of his time playing pickleball! He competed in the 2026 AARP Open at the 4.5 level, his second-ever APP Tour event.
